Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, Charlotte Perriand

Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand were three influential designers who worked together in the early 20th century to create some of the most iconic pieces of modern furniture.

Le Corbusier, born Charles-Edouard Jeanneret in Switzerland in 1887, was a prolific architect, designer, and writer who is considered one of the most important architects of the 20th century. Pierre Jeanneret, his cousin, was also an architect and designer who worked closely with Le Corbusier on many of his projects. Charlotte Perriand was a French architect and designer who collaborated with Le Corbusier and Jeanneret on furniture designs in the 1920s and 30s.

Together, the three designers created a range of furniture pieces that were characterized by their sleek lines, minimalist aesthetics, and use of modern materials such as steel and glass. Some of their most famous designs include the LC4 Chaise Lounge, the LC2 Sofa, and the LC10-P Coffee Table, which are still in production today.

In addition to their furniture designs, the trio also worked on a number of architectural projects, including the famous Villa Savoye in France. They were also important figures in the development of the modernist movement, which sought to reject traditional styles and embrace new technologies and materials.
