Marco Zanuso
Marco Zanuso (1916–2001) was an Italian architect and industrial designer based in Milan, a pioneer of Italian post-war modernism. His Lady armchair (1951) won the gold medal at the IX Triennale di Milano and helped establish the use of foam rubber and tubular steel in upholstered furniture, defining a new language for Italian residential seating.He collaborated with Arflex, Brionvega, Kartell and Cassina, and taught at the Politecnico di Milano.
